Gordon Brown, J.D. is a Professor of Paralegal Studies at North Shore Community College in Danvers, Massachusetts
Kent Kauffman is the Paralegal Studies Program Chair at Ivy Tech Community College Northeast, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He is a graduate of Temple University and the Dickinson School of Law of the Pennsylvania State University, and is the author "Legal Ethics," a textbook published by West Legal Studies.

Really good source

I took a legal terminology class in where this book was required. I mostly took the class because I am trying to get certified as a court interpreter. The book was an outstanding source of information and the reason why I believe I passed my examinations. It contains really good terminology and the exercises are excellent for terminology memorization and retention.

Not the greatest

Using this book for an online course. Poorly edited, many mistakes. The website with additional tools was also incorrect. Several quiz/test questions wrong even though I selected the answer from the text in the book.

Many Mistakes

This is the required textbook for a paralegal class I am taking. In essence the information in the book is good but when you go to take the quizzes and tests you will get wrong answers marked incorrect even though your answer matched the book. The publisher provides answer keys for instructors and these are obviously riddled with mistakes. Be warned, you will need to point out the errors in the answer key to the grader in order to avoid having your grade marked down. Very frustrating.
