I have used this dictionary for years. Awesome for easy to find derivations. You won't find an etymology dictionary out there like this!

Excellent reference to complement simple dictionaries

Many simpler dictionaries do not contain word derivations, which is a shame. Others drown us in complex derivations with arcane symbols and difficult words. In both cases, I use this reference book.
Tip: Not only for children, but great also for any type of public (as well as students of English as a foreign language).

Great simple deveration dictionary

This is a great simple derivation dictionary. If you just need to know the root of a word and don't want to be tripped up in other words then this dictionary is good for this. I own the print version and was happy to be able to get this on the kindle.
