Amazing Read!

I love love LOVED this story. The worst part about it was that it ended I need soooo much more. Four characters. FOUR. And there is enough meat and heat to encompass fourty more! Unbelievable to have such a small cast of characters have enough layers to make a complete story and still leave me wanting more.

The relationship between Casey & Lucas is as cute as it is hot. Their devotion to one another is almost sickeningly sweet. Astrid & Race? Omg, where to even begin. Let's just say HOT almost touches the smallest part of this couple they are firmly placed in my top10 favorite sexy couples.

This was an amazingly fun read that left me wanting more more more! Nicely done Felicity! And thank you.

First time reading this author so I bought this boxset to check her out. This writer has a wonderful way with words and certainly knows how to write a hot little scene. I will say I was drawn to Race and Astrid's story more than Lucas and Casey's. I think it was the unexpected that I enjoyed most of all.. A wonderful little kick-ass series!

Can't say enough about this fun, sexy, sassy series!

I ADORE this series by Felicity! I read Steam Bunny early this year and completely fell in love with with this short, sassy, sweet read! I now have another Lucas to love!
It's fun and sexy, has a unique story, and one majorly hot Super Sexy Man-beast in Mr. Lucas Haskell. .
Casey is one kick as$$ heroine, with a vulnerable side, and Lucas, oh.my.lanta...that man is sex on a stick if there ever was one.
This is another one of those books that I loved so much I find it hard write a review worthy of it.
Although this is a short, quick read- I read it in a few hours, the characters are so well written I became really invested in them. Ultimately this is a tale of true love, and everything the 2 of them went through felt very real- I was going through the emotions with them.

Super-Sex Me is Astrid's short, sexy story- it takes place during the same timeframe as Steam Bunny. I was so excited to get more of Astrid after reading Steam Bunny- what a strong, protective, kick-ass friend she is. And Race, definitely needed more of Race! This was sooo hot!

Fit To Be Tied is a continuation of Race and Astrid’s story from the quickie Super-Sex Me, which was included in the Just Desserts anthology. It paralleled Steam Bunny, as these 2 met at the convention that takes place in that story.
FTBT is a hot, hot, hot, sexy, humorous, emotional read. It's a little different because of the supernatural element, but that just adds more depth to this story. Race and Astrid have mad chemistry, but she is fighting it because she doesn't understand what happens to her when they are together. And Race doesn't want to tell her what she is, he wants her to experience and embrace it on her own terms.
Astrid is no shrinking violet and she doesn't pull any punches with Race. He completely adores her and even as she fights against him and tries to push him away he doesn't give up, as he knows they are meant to be together. "I need to feel your bliss sweetheart. It's the only thing that makes sense in my life."
As we saw in Super-Sex Me the heat between these 2 is combustible. I'm surprised the ice hotel didn't melt when they get together, lord almighty. So hot.
What surprised me most about this book was how emotional it was- I wasn't expecting the the pain and torment that both Race and Astrid dealt with, it brought me to tears. Felicity did such a beautiful job with this part of the story, I fell more in love with these characters as they confronted their painful pasts.
I wish more people were familiar with the Little Miss Kick-Ass series. They are so well written, full of great characters and storylines, just really great reads.

Well worth a read!

I purchased this book a few weeks ago - but have only recently sat down to give it my full attention. I would recommend it highly to anyone interested in the subject of leadership and management in the corporate context. Whilst some of the principles of leadership discussed were familiar, there was a refreshing amount of new, thought-provoking material in this book. Business ethics and honesty are like the proverbial 'elephants in the room'. There are very few books that are prepared to explore these important subjects and tackle them as directly as David does in this text. My own corporate experience has taught me these matters are of critical importance. And recent history in a number of industry sectors has only strengthened this view. So many thanks and congratulations, David, for tackling these complex issues head on. I might even go so far as to say that I think this book should be mandatory reading for newly appointed managers in the early stages of their corporate careers.

This book brings a fresh approach to the already strong group of comprehensive textbooks in general surgery. As its title states, it emphasizes the basic science underlying the practice of surgery and the evidence supporting clinical decisions. The book tells the reader not only how to perform surgery, but why. It is a textbook and not an atlas or history of surgery, but the authors do illustrate operations with clear-cut drawings, and they document important historical landmarks.

The first section, "Care of the Surgical Patient," consists of chapters on the science underlying the practice of surgery today. Shock, inflammation, nutrition, fluid and electrolyte balance, and other basic-science topics are comprehensively discussed by first-rate, mostly mid-career academic surgical scientists. Surgical science also appears in the clinically oriented sections of the book -- on gastrointestinal and abdominal disease, endocrine surgery, vascular surgery, cardiothoracic surgery, transplantation, and oncology. The sister fields of general surgery -- such as plastic surgery and pediatric surgery -- and the associated disciplines of orthopedic surgery, neurosurgery, and other specialized fields are also well covered. The text is clearly written, and the chapters are well illustrated. There is also a unique feature: several hundred evidence-based tables. These tables allow the reader to reach conclusions on the basis of data rather than on the basis of individual authors' experience or opinions. Another feature I like is the accompanying CD-ROM (enclosed inside the back cover of the book). This disk contains all the references cited in the book and allows the reader to call up the desired reference and, when specific Internet connections are used, often the abstract and even the complete article as well.

At first, when reading this large book at home in an easy chair under a soft light, I found the type small and the weight of the book a burden. Later, in the bright light of my office and with the book resting on my desk, the legibility was fine and the weight not a problem.

Considering that the seven editors chose 130 authors to write the 93 chapters, there is some variability within the book. Overall, however, the book hangs together, with its strong basic-science orientation and its emphasis on evidence-based decision making. The vast amount of material included in the book makes it fairly priced at $119.

This book will appeal to general surgical residents and medical students. Chief residents in surgery preparing for their board examinations will find this book especially helpful, because the chapters deal in a comprehensive way with the nine major areas of general surgery identified by the American Board of Surgery. The practicing surgeon will also find the book valuable as a source of information for everyday practice and for help with unusual cases. As a senior academic surgeon, I found the chapters useful as I was preparing lectures in my own areas of surgical interest, in which I have been working for years.

In the Looper movie time-machines have been banned in the future and we don't know why for sure. After reading Templexity we may guess why. Not becose of their petty potential in a racket involving tying up time loops & absolute ways of eliminating others (&oneself) but becose of their time-making - chronogenerative function. It's actually the first time I've read Land's recent musings from megacity Shanghai, and am really happy I did. The book I think will make anybody understand why chrono-generative time machines are impossible to ban, or why they cannot be limited or captive inside sci-fi time travel books or movie scripts full of loopholes.

There is much more to time machines than nostalgic chrono-tourism, head scratching time paradoxes or contradicting the laws of thermodynamics. Experiments upholding or questioning the ultimate threshold of light speed have already surpassed the experiment, spilling over into flash trading latency time. The idea of tachyonic retro-betting back in time is already at work, spewing theoretical papers & financial results - remaking the real & imploding the present. Reading this sent me back in time to when people published intelligent things about science fiction and film. It treats time travel as a literary device more than an object of scientific inquiry, and by doing so opens up some veins that would otherwise stay scabbed-over.

Had a pleasant flow to it from beginning to end that's not quite as staccato as Land's blog writing.
